Flashlights to light up your night and make you shine

Flashlights are something you should have with you when you venture into the great outdoors.Unlike lanterns which is covered elsewhere in this site, flashlights are something that you will find very useful many times when camping.

There are many brands and styles of flashlights. Some of which we will try to cover here. The top of the line and one you probably see at you local hardware or sport store is the mag lite. This light is pretty much unparalled in quality and design, and built to a no defects standard.

Here again because of the quality, you will pay more than for other brands on the market. There is a mini mag that uses "AA" batteries and comes in colors. You can also get a holster pack to carry it on your belt if you so choose.

Than there is something called niteize. This products has a nylon head band with velcro closure wraps and provides a neet place for a mini flashlight similar to the mini mag lite. It also has a clip that enables you to use hook and loop fastners to a nonmagnetic surface. This allows you a hands free working enviroment. It also has a glow spot light diffuser that can be used for safety use. They come in yellow and orange tanslucent.

The duolite is a flashlight and also provides area lighting just like a lantern giving you two lights in one.

Now lets take a look at the cyclume lightstick. I'm sure you have seen them at 4th of July celabrations. This item provides the ultimate safety and distess light. This light is a no fall chemical light ans has a shelf life of up to 4 years. Not affected by such things as rain, wind or water. Having a few of these in the old back pack is a very good idea.

Cordless headlamp is something that allows you to use without needing your hands. Used by forest fire fighters and emergency personnel for sometime. As a outdoor distributor, we sold a lot of these to smoke eaters out west that used them to fight forest fires.

Dorcy had some great flashlights that were rubber and waterproof and we sold a ton of them. Easy to use and had a good feeling when you had it in your hand. I still have a couple of the "AA" size. They are excellent lights and tough.

Dorcy also makes a luminator fluorescent lantern that uses batteries. If you plan on going this route, you maybe better off with the fuel lanterns, unless saftey is a real concern.

Pelican, the same people that make the waterproof boxes we talk about elsewhere on this site. Pelican lites are unbreakable, made of chemical resistant plastic, watertight to 500 feet. These lites ae more powerful than your average flashlight.
