What about the combo repellent and sunscreen combo?

Repellents and suntan lotion are two must haves when heading into the outdoors. If you forget them, you will be sorry. Companies have made it easier for us by putting the two in a combination of bothbug protection and sun block. I can't say that these are the way to go, They have there positive and negative sides

When looking at repellents the proposed best items have deet in them. Deet is short for--- bad stuff (n, n-Diethyl-m-tolumide)Now you know why they call it deet. This is strong stuff and should be used with care. For example, use it outdoors only.Keep it away from your face.To Put it on your face, spray it on your handlesfirst and then apply it to your face being careful not to get it in your eyes. Wash your hands after use,If your skin is sunburned do not apply it over the sunburn.Be especially careful with children makeing sure not to get it on their hands and if you do get it in your eyes, remember to flush with water.

As for the combos mentioned above, If Deet is used, you will want to use it less often than you would your sunscreen.Making it a poor combination. Less Deet is better and more sunscreen is better. Also using the two products togethermay decrease the efficiency. If using Both products, it is recommended by the CDC to apply sunscreen first and thanthe repellent with Deet.

There are other repellents avaliable such as naturalpel and other natural items. It seems that the deet itemswork the best but require more care in use especially with childern.
