cooking outdoors, making your time in the outdoors more enjoyable

Cooking in the great outdoors is not like cooking in your kitchen at home. The stoves you use can be anywhere from a coleman ( probably the most recognized name) to a pocket chef.

Some folks like the tri-pod grill which is a 2 piece tripod legs that support a large nickel plated grill. it’s easy to use as you can slide the grill up and down making it idea for making coffee or to raise or lower a kettle as needed. One of its best features,is tha it breaks down into a small caring unit

Grids

Grids are popular to put over the coals and can fold up with weights of about 1 pound. To help the taste consider using hickory chips to provide flavor.

When cooking in the outdoors, don’t forget your utensils. To get a better idea of what I mean just go to cooking utensil

Than of course there are the little extras for those of you that love to cook. Things like camp stove toasters, reflector ovens, and wind screens. I think most people don’t go to the ourdoors to cook. Its even more work than at home

As for stoves, there is the alcohol fuel type or the ones that use propane or a blend of propane and butane for high altitudes or cold weather. Types such as Gaz, Primus, Coleman and optimus provide these kind of stoves.

The one we used to sell a lot in our distributor ship was the plain and simple sterno stove. The stove would fold into a small easy to carry unit and to cook just use a can of sterno. Sterno also makes a cooking kit containing 1 stove 2 cans of fuel book of matches and insulating pad. the fuel burns approximately 2 hours. excellent for a back up stove or survival kit.
