FIBER TECHNOLOGY THAT WILL MAKE YOUR FEET HAPPY

Fiber Technology

Fiber technology is an excellent way to find out how to keep your feet dry and happy. So let's cover some of the well known fibers right now.

Cotton

This natural fiber is soft and absorbs easily absorbs moisture. Do not use cotton for camping or hiking, your feet won;t be happy. The only way I would recommend using cotton is if you layer it away from the skin

Cool Max

As fiber technology goes, cool max is fairly recent and has wide spread use. Cool Max is synthetic in nature and is specially made to wick away perspiration from your feet. Cool MAx is able to provide breathability when wet which makes it an excellent choice.

Hollofil

This product provides great insulation qualities. This is do to the fiber technology that allows it to trapp air because of it's hollow makeup. This also makes the sock more fluffy in nature.

Thermolite

Thanks to fiber technology, this fiber is able to provide warmth and lightweight. Again the hollow-core traps the air for more insulation. Do to it's surface, it also is capable of drying faster than other insulating fabrics.

Lycra 3D

Used in Fox River socks, this fiber provides comfort and stretch for a better fit.

Microfiber acrylics

This fabric is very soft and is also has great wicking properties.

Silk

This natural fiber is soft and has great wicking properties. Great to use for a liner.

Polyproylene

This is a synthetic fiber with high insulation make-up.Great liner--excellent wicking fiber.
